ISO/IEC 80079-34:2018

ISO/IEC 80079-34:2011 - Explosive Atmospheres Part 34: Application of Quality Management Systems for Ex Product manufacture. This standard describes the application of quality systems in the production/manufacture of electrical and non-electrical equipment or protective systems used in explosive atmospheres, termed as Ex Equipment. The standard follows the format of ISO 9001:2015 with additional quality system requirements for Hazardous Areas equipment manufacturing.

ISO/IEC 80079-34:2011 has been Withdrawn

The new revision of Standard ISO/IEC 80079-34:2018 (Edition 2.0) was published on Thursday 30th August 2018 and ISO/IEC 80079-34:2011 has been withdrawn. The standard been redrafted to bring it in line with Annex SL (the same structure as ISO 9001:2015 - Quality Management Systems - Requirements) which defines the framework for a generic management system. All new ISO Management System Standards (MSS) will adhere to this framework and all current MSS will migrate at their next revision.
David Ford QA Limited will be looking forward to providing consultancy in the transition period on changes to Quality Management Systems requirements for the new revision of the standard.

Previous Standards EN 13980 & IECEx OD 005-1
